Virtual Experience MORA - SMA Warureja

The National Sports Museum held a Virtual Experience with Warureja High School, Tegal Regency, Central Java. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Virtual Experience is very beneficial for students and schools who cannot carry out field trips offline. This event will take place on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 10.00 to 11.30 WIB.

The service activity of the National Sports Museum was attended by 75 students and an accompanying teacher, Eko Setyo Nurkhamdani, S.Pd. "Our school is very grateful for the Virtual Experience. We from Warureja High School can visit online and see the achievements of the nation's children in the field of sports," said Mr. Eko who was escorting students during the Virtual Experience.

Visiting museums is a challenge for educators and museum managers because of the lack of enthusiastic student interest when visiting. "We as museum managers must be creative and keep up with the times, for example we create content on social media such as Instagram and TikTok by following the latest trends. In addition, exhibition activities must also be encouraged to introduce and disseminate information about the National Sports Museum,” explained Windria Setiatama, S.S., M.Hum, Head of the Education and Exhibition Section of the National Sports Museum.

The Virtual Experience is carried out through Zoom Meetings and broadcast live through the National Sports Museum YouTube. Participants actively answered quizzes and participated in question and answer sessions about the collections of the National Sports Museum. The facilities that will be obtained for students and accompanying teachers are e-certificates, and for active and participating students answering quizzes and asking questions get souvenirs from the National Sports Museum.
